the Story

Need any excuse to enjoy the outdoors? Look no further. Whether it's a lovely spring night or a weekend barbeque, these burgers will not disappoint. In fact, whenever we can't decide what to make for dinner, we immediately turn to these juicy, melt-in-your-mouth turkey burgers. The patties may require several ingredients to form, but the payoff will be great, leaving everyone wanting more! Don't believe me, give this a recipe a try!

the Ingredients

  • 1 LB of Ground Turkey Breast

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/2 Cup of Breadcrumbs (Panko can be used as an alternative)

  • 1/3 Cup of Finely Diced Onions

  • 1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic

  • 2 Tablespoons of Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 2 Tablespoons of Sour Cream

  • 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce

  • 3 Tablespoons of your Favorite BBQ Sauce

    • Our preference is Carolina Gold as it offers a tang of yellow mustard.

  • 1 Tablespoon of Dried Parsley

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black Pepper, to taste

  • 1 Bag of Brioche Buns (Olive Oil for grilling)

the Instructions

  • Preheat your Air Fryer to 360 Degrees.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients (minus the buns) and mix well.

  • Form the patties into 3 inch diameter balls.

  • One the Air Fryer is preheated, spray the bottom of the compartment tray with non-stick cooking spray. Place 2-4 balls into the Air Fryer (depending on the size) and slowly flatten each ball with a spatula. Once flattened into patties, spray the top of each patty with cooking spray, and close the compartment.

  • Cook for 6 minutes.

  • As you flip each patty:

    • Spray the top of each patty again.

    • Then flip the patty.

    • Then, spray the other side of the patty.

  • Cook for an additional 6 minutes. Use a thermometer to check the temperature of the patties to ensure you don't overcook them.

    • The desired temperature is 160 Degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Repeat this step until all patties have been cooked.

  • Optional | Place a slice of your favorite cheese onto each patty and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes at 350 Degrees until cheese is melted to your liking.
