the Story

This gluten-free banana bread recipe is a delicious and wholesome twist on the classic favorite, perfect for those with gluten sensitivities or anyone looking to eat a little lighter. Made with ripe bananas for natural sweetness and moisture, it swaps out traditional flour for a gluten-free blend that keeps the texture soft and tender. Whether you add chocolate chips, nuts, or enjoy it plain, this banana bread bakes up golden brown and full of comforting flavor. It’s easy to make, requires simple ingredients, and is great for breakfast, snacking, or sharing with friends.

the Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe Bananas

  • 1 Egg

  • 3 Tbsp Grape Seed Oil

  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk

  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

  • 1-1/2 Cups Almond Meal

  • 1-1/2 Cups Gluten Free Flour

  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon

  • 3-1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

  • 3/4 Tsp Salt

  • 3 Tbsp Honey

the Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven to 350 Degrees.

  • Grease a Loaf Pan.

  • In a large mixing bowl, smash the bananas, until it becomes a soft paste. While whisking, slowly add the egg, oil, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, honey, sugar, and powder, until well blended. Then, add the almond meal and flour last.

  • Pour the mixture into the loaf pan, and make sure it spreads evenly. Then, place in the oven for about 1 hour. Depending on your oven, it may require an additional 10-15 minutes. Once the bread is golden brown, feels firm, and has a cracked texture on top, it's ready. But just to be sure, place a toothpick inside the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready!

  • Be sure to let the bread cool thoroughly before removing from pan. Enjoy!
