The Keeping Room Remodel

Some homes have a room or sitting area directly off the kitchen, known as the Keeping Room. Its purpose is for family or guests to sit and "keep" the person who is cooking company. In our house, our Keeping Room has centralized fireplace and is surrounded by windows. When we toured this home and saw this space for the first time, we knew that club chairs would be the perfect solution to fill this space. With all the wood accents throughout the home, our goal was to embrace this finish by selecting furniture that had a cognac-like color, so we focused our attention on top grain leather upholstery with a camel color as the basis. Since our Kitchen features a blue & white theme, we thought navy would be a great color contrast for accent pillows and pouffs in the Keeping Room.
